about

'Play: Innocent Civilian Part 1' is a mixture of musical styles and spoken word. It follows a character through a story of escape, abuse, perceived class, religious hypocrisy, perversion, indulgence, depression and suicidal thoughts.

This introduction to the Innocent Civilian series of albums is a rare mixture of concept and listenability and draws on a huge range of influences from Blues, Reggae, Black Comedy, Cajun, Folk, Ambient and more. Like every album he has ever written it was created to be listened to as a whole, ideally on long journeys.
